Stone and wood

I remember now that kids’ game of scissors, stone and paper…, or do I miss something? How did it work? I don’t remember well, can someone help me avoid goggle it?

In this photo the log was beside the Greek remain when I visited that complex of stone ruins for watching the eclipse. Actually, its for me well known attraction was what encouraged me to drive some kilometres and arrive there up on the hill to watch what beforehand known to be a weak sunset solar spectacle. It was, but it deserved the await.

The Greek Teather is in very well condition, so well that it was afterwords a nowadays representation I missed just due to technical reasons. Bu the point is the stone script clearly shows a rather Roman script, obviously due to the roman post colonisation and use of the nowadays archaeological spot. I have been there several times and always got out really amazed and happy.

The conclusion is of course had either Greek or Romans made their works in wood we probably had now a very different idea of them.

This is a fantastic place because even in the middle of August you can take a photo like this other one, without crowds or to be clear having the place only for yourself.

Just before I arrived it was a really rare but intense summer storm, so the search of points of view with reflections on that pavement installed for the theatre session was specially entertaining

In that hill there’s a kind of Mediterranean pine forest, so wood wouldn’t have been hard to find for Greeks or Romans there

And also stone was abundant there for them to make their buildings, in that pic a a part of a carved necropolis

and, following, part of a column and a kind of mortar and something else

It’s an authentic beautiful place I never get tired of…, happy enough to have it into “stone throw” distance for visiting. That board or metal is usually lacking, remainind then just the original stones; now those puddles bring of it a new vision
