This is also really a serious post. And funny
Don’t take panoramic for panning!
The first was the last post, the second this one
That’s what I was doing when taking this set of pictures
Panning: moving the camera in the same direction followed by a moving subject
Of course with the aim of “stopping” that subject to get a sharp (not blurred) image
And I succeed, because at least some parts of the photograph are discernible…
They’d have been just a colour stain if having not doing panning!
I don’t use to pay much attention to these photographs, like saying, oh the cars
But they are interesting photographs. And beautiful
Well, to say I never was close something to a sport photographer
Also to say that was a race in a secondary road with practically no control, so
I was incredibly close to those running cars
I hope you like them
For those interested I was using a Leica M8 camera and place exposure info in captions; I removed dust spots from them (that camera was a dust magnet, most of my files are plenty of them) but still you may find some
Colours are fabulous, aren’t they?
The number 2
That pavement is fantastic
Seeing pilots driving make them more, hmm human
The other side of the road
Colour patterns are interesting in all of them
I made this one into black and white and still it works
Nearly the full car here, 21. Details like faces and the glove are captivating
Aperture and shutter speed info are the exif data in LR.
What lens was I using then to get them?
😕good question…
Great, George! Motion is key to color and life.
I do like these quite a bit. For me, the color is at least a co-star of the show.
